Student Testimonials

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”

Electronic Policy

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Countee Cullen School has established a new cell phone and electronic device policy, in regards to the high usage of students that disregard the student code of conduct, which explicitly states, no usage of cell phones in the school building.

Although we support our students in being technology savvy, we cannot continue to allow students to continuously disrupt the learning process with using their cell phones.

Effective immediately, students are to turn in phones upon arrival to school and they will be returned at 3:30.  If any student has a cell phone or electronic devise displayed during school hours, it will be confiscated and forwarded to administration. Only a parent/guardian can come to retrieve the item.  In addition, the only day cell phones and or electronic devices can be retrieved after confiscation will be on Tuesdays, 3:30p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

We are making every effort to make your child’s educational career, one that is equitable, safe, and conducive for learning. Parent support is needed. Please have a conversation with your child about cell phones or electronic devices being displayed and/or used in the school building.

If you have any questions regarding this policy, you can call the school and speak with Mr. Conway, Ms. Beaugard or Mr. Bryant at 773-535-5375.

Respectfully,

Mr. Bud Bryant – Principal

Ms. Beaugard – Assistant Principal

Countee Cullen School is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged cell phones or electronic devices.
